If you have the heavy cast iron type ceiling fan that takes oil, then it is likely that you will need this to mount your fan.

Installation tip. Properly size and pre-drill the holes for the U Bracket, Install rubber bushing and pin into the U-bracket. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer's installation instructions, or a professional installer.
